K5 Film is a Munich-based production company behind international feature films that have premiered at the Berlinale, competed in Cannes and earned an Oscar nomination. We created its brand identity, starting with the moment that matters most for a production company: the few seconds on the big screen just before the film begins.
We designed the logo in motion first. The ident was developed as a piece of cinema in its own right, with movement, timing and rhythm built for the dark of the auditorium and the scale of the screen. The static logo was then extracted from the animation, so the mark carries the energy of its motion even when it stands still.
