Finanznavi is Austria’s financial education platform, launched in 2024 by the Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF) and the Austrian National Bank (OeNB). The project was supported by the OECD and funded by the European Commission. Its goal is to make financial knowledge accessible to everyone, covering topics from everyday money management, saving and investing to credit, risk and consumer protection. Users can find content that fits their current stage of life, explore interactive tools and explainer videos, and discover around 150 further independent learning resources. We led the creative direction and visual design of the platform, creating a friendly, open look that makes complex topics feel approachable.
The Logo, a compass as CTA to navigate the complicated world of finance. A cast of playful, stone-like characters, created with AI tools, brings the platform to life. They’re deliberately light-hearted, a warm counterpoint to the serious content that invites people in rather than intimidating them.
The website guides users through the platform by life stage, with clear navigation, illustrations and infographics that turn financial topics into something easy to explore. Interactive tools such as the Finanznavi Check help users assess their own financial knowledge and find the right next step.
